The Globe and Mail (Canada's equivalent to the NYT, for any Americans reading this) is conducting a poll on how people feel about gay marriage, given that the conservatives here are vowing to re-open the question. Currently, the people against are winning by a large margin.

To vote, visit the Globe and Mail's main web page here; the poll is about midway down the page, on the right.

Interesting the way they phrase it: "Do you approve of same-sex marriage?". Seems that might get different results than, say: "Do you think same-sex marriage should be legal?".

If the no's are winning, it's because the Globe is one of the more conservative papers in the country (beaten out only by the Post.) It's about readership, not the real pulse of the country.

Doesn't look like i can vote - but it looks like it ended with a 50/50 result with nos only slightly ahead ...

But then again if it is one of the more conservative papers - that is a really close standing
