cortneyofeden put it, today I am "out of sorts." I hate the world, and everything in it. I have all sorts of irrational bratty thoughts swirling through my head which I will not dignify by putting on "paper" here.
To calm myself and distract myself, I pretended to go lamp shopping online. Yeah, I know. While I was at it, I glanced at some pretty beds too. No worries, since I'm caught up on all my work in the office, and I've got most of the watch article done.
I know Target's evil, but they have stuff I like online. There should be a rant here about Canadian stores such as the Bay not having online shopping... bah. Bah I say! (Just sent them a snarky email suggesting the join the rest of us in the new millenium by putting their entire stock online)

Boring, but adequate and affordable

OK, guys, I know it looks like a blender, but I still like it! So there. :)

Maybe. I'm not sure. But maybe. I'd definitely mess with or replace the shade.

This one's better. But still, ditto on the shade.
From eBay, a fairy lamp I don't particularly want, but I think its pretty.

Also from eBay, and I really like this one, but I suspect it is too big and besides, shipping a lamp from Australia seems a little ridiculous and risky.

For those who admire it, my bedding collection:

This bed could be gorgeous, but I'd have to see it in person. It may just be gaudy.

And then we have the bed I've wanted all this time, although it is way too expensive:

That's it for now. I foresee some mindless, frantic knitting in an attempt to calm myself down, followed by early bed.

Date: 2005-08-08 10:02 pm (UTC)Knitting + A couple of hours of Law&Order is the best recipe for calming me down. Just knitting by itself leaves my brain too free to wander.
